Sergei Casper, 17, poderia ser definido como um garoto sensível, vítima predileta do bullying homofóbico nas escolas. Estudante de uma escola politécnica de Moscou, ele era amante das artes, gostava de cantar e de ouvir música, e era tido com um rapaz pacífico pelos colegas de classe. Ao longo de meses ele foi vítima de bullying por parte dos outros garotos, supostamente por ser gay.Estudantes o amarraram no banheiro e depois de tentar afogá-lo na privada e xingá-lo por ser afeminado, eles o levaram carregado até a sala, onde novamente foi vítima de risadas e piadas. A lição era fazer o rapaz virar homem, seria a lição da vida do rapaz, diziam os agressores.
Com um plástico filme amarrando suas pernas e braços, Serguei perdeu o equilíbrio e bateu com a garganta na quina da mesa da professora, que não fez nada para ajudar o aluno. Desacordado, ainda foi xingado pelos colegas e alvo de risadas. A graça se esvaiu depois que perceberam que o rapaz que antes se contorcia, não reagia mais. Quando a polícia chegou, era tarde. Sergei estava morto.
“Ele jamais fez mal a alguém. Eles decidiram persegui-lo desde o início porque ele amava cantar. Eles o agrediam o tempo todo. Da última vez, eles o esperaram no corredor para pegá-lo de surpresa. Eles achavam isso engraçado. A professora não fazia nada”, relatou um de seus colegas de classe.
Toda a cena foi flagrada pela câmera de segurança da sala de aula. Os pais de Sergei, indignados, esperam Justiça. Os agressores foram expulsos da escola mas o caso não recebeu repercussão no país em que maltratar homossexuais não é discutido, pois não se pode falar sobre o tema, sendo crime fazer qualquer tipo de “propaganda” gay.
A escola nega qualquer problema de bullying e assim como os culpados pela morte do estudante acreditam que se trata de uma brincadeira que acabou mal por uma fatalidade. As imagens correm o mundo e mostram a bestialidade humana, exemplificada no bullying de crianças russas que aprendem com o aval do Estado que homossexuais não tem direitos por lá.
