Um grupo LGBT da Uganda está processando o pastor americano Scott Lively (foto) na corte de Massachusetts sob a acusação de iniciar uma perseguição a gays e lésbicas no país.

De acordo com o grupo, desde 2002, o pastor tem se articulado com líderes políticos e religiosos da Uganda para alertar para o que ele chama de “agenda gay”, que pretenderia transformar as crianças em homossexuais e acabar com a cultura africana. Esta ação teria resultado em perseguições, sequestros, torturas e assassinatos de LGBT no país. Em 2009, um dos líderes políticos que se articulou com Lively propôs pena de morte a gays na Uganda, a lei foi derrubada após ameaças de sanções de diversos países, entretanto voltou à pauta no mês passado. O processo contra o pastor evangélico é com base em uma lei americana que permite estrangeiros processarem pessoas dos EUA caso estas tenham violado leis internacionais.

O pastor Scott Lively é um dos fundamentalistas religiosos mais fervorosos dos EUA. Já publicou livros que comparam os gays ao Nazismo, e atua em cruzadas contra homossexuais na África.

Em sua defesa, o pastor disse ao Jornal The New York Times que não faz nada além de pregar o evangelho e dar a sua opinião sobre a homossexualidade.

Scott Livelly possui um discurso bem parecido com alguns fundamentalistas brasileiros, não? Aliás, vale lembrar que muito do obscurantismo que anda permeando o país se deve a esta homofobia importada, que tem a assassina missão de perseguir (e exterminar) LGBT.

A group of Ugandan LGBT is suing American pastor Scott Lively on the Massachusetts court on charges of starting a persecution of gays and lesbians in the country.

According to the group since 2002, the pastor has been linked to political and religious leaders in Uganda to highlight what he calls the "gay agenda" that would seek to transform children into homosexuals and end up with African culture. This action would result in persecution, kidnappings, torture and murder of LGBT people in the country. In 2009, one of the political leaders who has been linked to Lively proposed death penalty for gays in Uganda, the law was struck down after threats of sanctions from many countries, however returned to the agenda last month. The case against evangelist is based on a U.S. law that allows foreigners to sue U.S. persons if they have violated international law.

Pastor Scott Lively is one of the most fervent religious fundamentalists in the U.S.. He has published books comparing gays to Nazis, and operates in crusade against homosexuals in Africa.

In his defense, the minister told The New York Times that does nothing but to preach the gospel and give their views on homosexuality.

Scott Livelly has a speech much like some fundamentalists Brazilians, no? Indeed, it is worth remembering that much of obscurantism walking permeating the country should be imported to this homophobia, which has the mission to pursue murderous (and exterminate) LGBT.
