Um homossexual foi espancado e enterrado vivo à beira de uma estrada nas proximidades de Altamira, no oeste do Pará (a 900 km de Belém), mas conseguiu sobreviver. Ele está hospitalizado.
Para a Polícia Civil, trata-se de um caso de roubo com tentativa de homicídio. O movimento LGBT da região diz que o crime tem relação com homofobia -um dos agressores mantinha um relacionamento com a vítima.
Anízio Uchôa, 50, professor de uma escola municipal, foi amordaçado em sua casa e teve bens roubados. Em seguida, foi levado a uma estrada vicinal, onde foi espancado e enterrado em uma vala.
O caso ocorreu na madrugada de sexta-feira (10). De acordo com a polícia, o crime foi cometido por Jefferson Mello, 21, que mantinha um relacionamento com o professor, e por Thaisson de Souza, 23. Eles foram detidos no mesmo dia.
A assessoria de comunicação da Polícia Civil informou que ambos confessaram o crime. Em depoimento, porém, negaram a autoria intelectual do crime -cada um dos suspeitos atribuiu a responsabilidade ao outro. Nenhum dos dois constituiu advogado até a conclusão desta reportagem.
De acordo com a investigação, os suspeitos cobriram a vala onde jogaram o corpo de Uchôa com terra e folhas. Como a vala não era funda, Uchôa conseguiu escapar. Ele foi hospitalizado com ferimentos na cabeça e fraturas nos braços.
A Associação da Parada do Orgulho LGBT da Transamazônica e Xingu fará uma manifestação na próxima quinta-feira, em Altamira, em protesto contra o crime.
"O rosto dele está irreconhecível por causa das pauladas", disse Humberto Lexter, presidente da entidade. Ele afirma que o crime foi motivado por homofobia.
Segundo Roryhone Sousa, assessor jurídico da entidade, Mello não queria que ninguém soubesse do relacionamento com Uchôa.
"Eles praticaram o crime movidos por um preconceito de que, por ser homossexual, ele [Uchôa] era mais frágil. Não foi apenas um roubo, mas sim um crime que teve origem no fato de a vítima ser homossexual", afirmou Sousa.

The Association of LGBT Pride Parade and the Trans Xingu will make a demonstration on Thursday in Altamira, in protest against the crime.
"His face is unrecognizable because of the beatings," said Humberto Lexter, president of the organization. He said the crime was motivated by homophobia.
According Roryhone Sousa, general counsel of the entity, Mello did not want anyone to know the relationship Uchôa.
"They committed the crime motivated by a prejudice that, for being gay, he [Uchôa] was more fragile. It was not just a robbery, but a crime that stemmed from the fact that the victim is homosexual," said Sousa.
