Um reality show norte americano famoso na vertente de juntar casais é o The Bachelor, ou “O Solteirão”, em tradução livre. A Logo Tv, emissora que transmite RuPaul’s Drag Race anunciou que gravou e vai transmitir uma versão gay, chamada “Finding Prince Charming”. 13 participantes competem pelo coração de um príncipe. Dentre eles, há um soropositivo que, segundo a produção, ajudará a desconstruir o estigma de vida das pessoas portadoras do vírus do HIV.

Programado para ser lançado no próximo dia 8 de Setembro, o reality vai transmitir 13 solteirões vivendo na mesma casa e participando de provas para conquistar o coração do “príncipe encantado”, Robert Sepulveda Jr., um decorador portoriquenho radicado em Atlanta. Produzido por Brian Graden Media, o programa será apresentado pelo ex-vocalista da banda NSYNC, Lance Bass, que transformou o próprio casamento em um reality show.

A proposta do programa é fazer com que os competidores se apaixonem pelo “prêmio”, o que vai gerar um ambiente bastante competitivo e, consequentemente, muitas conversas acaloradas, discussões e, também, cenas emotivas. Como é esperado sobre o participante soropositivo, cuja revelação promete ser um dos momentos mais fortes e interessantes da temporada. No trailer prolongado sobre o programa, Robert afirma: “Estou me apaixonando por vários caras”.
