Um casal homossexual mexicano foi insultado e agredido por um grupo de sete pessoas, enquanto conversavam na Plaza de Chueca, em Madrid. Dois polícias ficaram feridos durante a intervenção.

Cinco homens e duas mulheres foram detidas pela polícia espanhola, na madrugada do dia 13 de agosto, após terem agredido e insultado um casal gay, no bairro madrileno, segundo fontes policiais contactadas pelo "El País", este domingo.

O alerta foi dado enquanto os mexicanos, de 30 e 55 anos, estavam a ser agredidos pelo grupo de sete pessoas.

Quando os agentes chegaram ao local conseguiram deter o grupo que se encontrava em fuga, após a descrição dos mexicanos.

Segundo a polícia, o elemento que causou mais problemas foi um jovem de 18 anos, de nacionalidade búlgara. No momento em que o jovem estava a ser forçado a entrar no carro de patrulha, agrediu dois agentes policiais ao atingir um no peito com um pontapé e outro na cara e na cabeça com uma cotovelada. O búlgaro ainda partiu o vidro da porta de trás do veículo da polícia.

A Proteção Civil espanhola assistiu as pessoas, que apresentavam ferimentos no local, onde ocorreu a agressão ao casal homossexual. Um dos polícias feridos foi transportado na ambulância para o hospital, depois de ter sofrido um golpe na cabeça.

Após a detenção, os cinco homens e as duas mulheres foram levadas para a esquadra. Segundo segundo o jornal El País, os agressores têm idades entre os 18 e 51 anos.
