O canal The CW anunciou a estreia de uma nova série de animação, "Freedom Fighters: The Ray", protagonizada por Ray, um super-herói homossexual da banda desenhada da DC Comics.

A estreia está prevista para 2017 na plataforma de "streaming" CW Seed, mas Mark Pedowitz, presidente do The CW, assegurou que Ray vai, "sem qualquer dúvida", aparecer numa das séries de super-heróis já em antena no canal - como "Arrow", "Supergirl" ou "The Flash".

O ator que dará voz ao protagonista está ainda por apurar. Sabe-se apenas, para já, que Greg Berlanti - responsável pelas três séries anteriormente referidas - será produtor executivo.
