O Juizado da Infância e Juventude da Comarca de Pelotas (RS) permitiu que um casal homossexual adote um menino. A decisão da juíza Nilda Stanieski foi tomada quinta-feira (2). As informações são do Correio do Povo.

Em sua decisão, a magistrada salientou que a orientação sexual dos adotantes “não deve ser vista como empecilho". O menino foi entregue ao casal há dois anos pela mãe, para que tomassem conta.

O Conselho Tutelar autorizou a permanência da criança com os dois homens. Na época, a mãe relatou que não possuía condições de cuidar do filho e assinou um termo de entrega do menino.

Em fevereiro, a Promotoria da Infância e Juventude de Pelotas pediu a guarda provisória para que a criança pudesse se tornar oficialmente filha do casal. A Justiça acolheu o pedido da Promotoria.

De acordo com o promotor, o casal vive em união estável há oito anos e o menino “está saudável e feliz, frequenta a escola, tem plano de saúde, está entrosado com a família do casal, convive com meninos e meninas e tem uma orientação psicológica completamente normal”.
