Ian (Paul Nicholls) e Samantha (Jennifer Love Hewitt) formam um casal feliz e cheio de planos para o futuro. Enquanto Samantha busca demonstrar seu amor a todo momento, Ian procura voltar sua atenção para a carreira e os amigos. Após um dia em que tudo deu , eles terminam o namoro. Entretanto um acidente faz com que a vida deles mude de rumo.
