O ex-presidente polonês e prêmio Nobel da Paz Lech Walesa disse nesta sexta-feira (8) que os deputados gays e lésbicas deveriam se sentar na última fila do recinto parlamentar ou até fora do Parlamento, porque representam apenas uma minoria.

Ao ser questionado por um jornalista sobre se deputados gays e lésbicas deveriam se sentar no fundo, na última fila do recinto parlamentar, já que representam uma minoria, Walesa, um católico fervoroso, respondeu: "sim, inclusive atrás do muro".

"Nós respeitamos a maioria, respeitamos a democracia. A maioria construiu a democracia e ela lhe pertence. Agora temos uma minoria que caminha sobre a cabeça da maioria", disse. "Não quero que esta minoria, com a qual não concordo mas que tolero, se manifeste nas ruas e faça virar a cabeça de meus filhos e netos."

"Sou da velha escola e não penso em mudar. Entendo que há gente diferente, diferentes orientações e que têm direito a sua identidade, mas que não mudem a ordem estabelecida há séculos. Não quero nem ouvir falar nisto. Que façam entre eles, mas deixem em paz a mim e a meus netos", concluiu Walesa.
