O casal Cláudio Nascimento Silva e João Batista Pereira da Silva vai se casar na tarde desta quarta-feira (24) no Rio de Janeiro no primeiro caso de união estável entre pessoas do mesmo sexo que foi convertida em casamento civil pela Justiça no Estado.
A cerimônia vai ocorrer às 16h30 no cartório da 7ª circunscrição de Registro Civil de Pessoas Naturais, no bairro do Estácio, na região central da capital. Entre os 18 padrinhos estará o secretário estadual de Meio Ambiente, Carlos Minc.
Cláudio é superintendente de Direitos Individuais, Coletivos e Difusos da Secretaria Estadual de Assistência Social e Direitos Humanos. João Batista é militar da Marinha e assistente social.
O pedido de conversão de união estável de João e Cláudio em casamento civil foi feito no dia 1º de julho no cartório da 7ª circunscrição de Registro Civil de Pessoas Naturais e foi decidido em sentença proferida pelo juiz da vara de registros públicos, Fernando Cesar Ferreira Viana, em 15 de agosto, porém a notícia só foi recebida na última sexta-feira (19).
O juiz utilizou a decisão do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), de 5 de maio, que julgou procedente Arguição de Descumprimento de Preceito Fundamental (ADPF) número 132 do governador do Rio, Sérgio Cabral, como base para sustentar a sua decisão.
Como testemunhas, o casal convidou os coordenadores dos Centros de Referência da Cidadania LGBT da Baixada Fluminense, Ernane Alexandre, e da capital, Almir França, que prestaram assistência jurídico-social ao casal.
O casamento oficial terá validade retroativa a data de 11 de setembro de 2010, quando o casal firmou, no Parque Lage, na zona sul, a sua união estável através de declaração registrada.

The couple Claudio Nascimento Silva and João Batista Pereira da Silva is getting married on the afternoon of Wednesday (24) in Rio de Janeiro in the first case of a stable union between same sex that has been converted into a marriage by the courts in the state.
The ceremony will take place at 16.30 in the 7th district office of the Civil Registry of Natural Persons in the neighborhood of Statius, in central capital. Among the 18 sponsors will be the State Secretary of Environment, Carlos Minc.
Claudio is superintendent of individual rights, collective and diffuse the state Department of Social Welfare and Human Rights. John the Baptist is the Navy's military and social worker.
The request for conversion of stable union of John and Claudio into a marriage was made on July 1 in the office of the 7th district of the Civil Registry of Natural Persons and it was decided by the sentence handed down by Judge stick of public records, Fernando Cesar Ferreira Viana on 15 August, but the news was received only last Friday (19).
The judge used the decision of the Supreme Court (STF) of 5 May that upheld claim of Breach of Fundamental Precept (ADPF) number 132 of the governor of Rio, Sergio Cabral, as a basis to support its decision.
As witnesses, the couple invited the coordinators of the Reference Centers LGBT Citizenship in the Baixada Fluminense, Ernane Alexander, and the capital, Almir France, which provided legal and social assistance to the couple.
The marriage officer shall be effective retroactive to date of 11 September 2010, when the couple entered into in the Parque Lage in the south, its stable through the declaration of the record.
