As mensagens de um outdoor de uma igreja evangélica de Ribeirão Preto (313 km de São Paulo) causaram indignação no movimento LGBT local, que quer acionar a Justiça. A Defensoria Pública de Ribeirão estuda se cabe medida judicial.
Com fundo branco e letras pretas, o outdoor tem três citações bíblicas. A primeira é: "Se também um homem se deitar com outro homem, como se fosse mulher, ambos praticaram coisa abominável...", do livro de Levítico.
A outra, da Carta de São Paulo aos Romanos, diz que "até as mulheres trocam as relações naturais pelas que são contra a natureza. E também os homens deixam as relações naturais com as mulheres e se queimam de paixão uns pelos outros".
O outdoor cita apoio da Casa de Oração. O pastor da Igreja Casa de Oração de Ribeirão, Antônio Hernandes Lopes, diz que a mensagem foi colocada ontem para "denunciar o pecado da homossexualidade" e que vive em um país democrático, com liberdade de expressão.
Ontem, membros de grupos LGBTs locais foram à Defensoria Pública. Fábio de Jesus, da ONG Arco-Íris, diz se tratar de homofobia.
A Defensoria estuda se o caso enseja ação judicial. O defensor público Aluísio Ruggeri Ré disse que não viu o outdoor, mas que, em sua opinião, ele expressa três direitos constitucionais: a liberdade sexual, a religiosa e a de expressão.
"Mas, desses valores, penso que deve prevalecer o da liberdade sexual e o combate à homofobia", disse.
O Grupo Gay da Bahia informou ver a mensagem como homofóbica e diz que autoriza que o movimento de Ribeirão o inclua na ação judicial. No domingo, Ribeirão terá a 7ª Parada do Orgulho LGBT.
Presidente da Comissão da Diversidade Sexual da OAB de São Paulo, Adriana Galvão Moura diz que não viu o outdoor, mas que a questão da homofobia se caracteriza quando houver incitação ao ódio contra o LGBTs.
"Só que se as observações tiverem um contexto de interpretação religiosa, de passagens bíblicas, desde que não tenham uma carga radical, homofóbica, devem ser respeitadas, porque vivemos em uma liberdade religiosa."
Luiz Mott, do Grupo Gay da Bahia, considera que as citações bíblicas estão fora do contexto histórico e servem de munição ao ódio. "O Antigo Testamento manda apedrejar mulheres adúlteras e filhos desobedientes. Eles [autores do outdoor] concordam com isso?"

The Ombudsman examines the case gives rise to legal action. The public defender Aluisio D Ruggeri said he had not seen the billboard, but that in his opinion, he expresses three constitutional rights: sexual freedom, religious and expression.
"But these values, I think that should prevail in sexual freedom and the fight against homophobia," he said.
Grupo Gay da Bahia reported seeing the message as homophobic and says allowing the movement of Ribeirão include it in the lawsuit. On Sunday, the 7th will Ribeirão LGBT Pride Parade.
Chairman of the Committee on Sexual Diversity OAB São Paulo, Adriana Moura Galvão says he saw the billboard, but that the issue of homophobia is characterized when there is incitement to hatred against LGBT people.
"But if the observations have a context of religious interpretation of biblical passages, since they do not have a radical load, homophobic, must be respected, because we live in a religious freedom."
Luiz Mott, the Grupo Gay da Bahia, believes that the biblical quotations are out of historical context and serve as ammunition to hate. "The Old Testament tells women to stone adulterers and disobedient children. They [the authors of the billboard] agree with that?"
