Mais uma história triste de suicídio de um adolescente vítima do bullying nos Estados Unidos, segundo o Huffington Post e a Buffalo News. O nome do menino desta foto é Jamey Rodemeyer, e ele tinha 14 anos. Jamey mantinha um blog onde escrevia constantemente sobre xingamentos e humilhações que sofria na escola por ser gay. Entre um lamento e outro, ele também escrevia sobre Lady Gaga, seu grande ídolo. “Ela me deixa muito feliz, e me faz ter certeza de que nasci assim”.
Em seu blog no Tumblr, no começo de setembro, Jamey fez um desabafo: “Ninguém na minha escola procura prevenir suicídios, enquanto são vocês que me xingam e me fazem chorar”. Em outro post, no dia seguinte, ele também falou sobre o bullying: “Eu sempre digo o quanto sofro bullying, mas ninguém escuta. O que eu tenho que fazer para que me escutem?”.
Seus últimos posts antes de aparentemente cometer suicídio foram sobre o desejo de reencontrar sua bisavó, morta recentemente, e um agradecimento à sua diva Lady Gaga. Logo depois, foi encontrado morto do lado de fora da sua casa.
Abaixo, o vídeo (em inglês) que Jamey deixou quatro meses antes de morrer, quando parecia demonstrar uma visão positiva do mundo. O título é “As coisas melhoram! Eu prometo!”. “Meu conselho a vocês é o seguinte: Mantenha a cabeça erguida que você chega longe”, afirma. É triste que ele não tenha conseguido.
