A Associação da Parada Gay de São Paulo tinha aberto votação online em dezembro passado, para que o público pudesse escolher o tema da 16º Parada do Orgulho Gay da cidade.
As frases finalistas foram enviadas através do Facebook, Twitter e por email. Ao todo foram 250 sugestões. Após a votação realizada no site da APOGLBT, a grande vencedora foi "Homofobia tem cura: educação e criminalização! - Preconceito e exclusão, fora de cogitação!", de autoria de Anita Costa Prado e Luis Guilherme, com 41% dos votos.
Em segundo lugar ficou "Onde tem amor, tem família! - Casamento e adoção, nós também queremos!", de Maju Doria e Carol Martins, com 37% e em terceiro "Manifeste sua identidade! Celebre a diversidade! - Somos o que somos e lutamos pelo que queremos!", de Gabriel Ribeiro e Paulo Cesar Gonçalves, com 21%.
A 16º Parada de São Paulo vai focar seus esforços na aprovação do PLC 122 e na distribuição kit anti-homofobia nas escolas.
"Todas as formas de preconceito afetam não apenas o grupo que é vitimado, mas a sociedade como um todo. Recentemente, acompanhamos notícias de heterossexuais que foram violentamente espancados em ataques homofóbicos, por terem sido confundidos com gays, incluindo um pai que abraçava seu filho numa festa. O Brasil precisa entender que educar para o fim da homofobia e condenar os homofóbicos não é uma medida que privilegia os LGBT, mas garante a igualdade e liberdade de todos os cidadãos", afirma Fernando Quaresma, presidente da APOGLBT.
A Parada será realizada no dia 10 de junho na Avenida Paulista. Ao longo dos dias que antecedem o evento serão realizadas a 10ª edição do Ciclo de Debates, a 12ª Feira Cultural LGBT, o 12º Prêmio Cidadania em Respeito à Diversidade e o 12º Gay Day.
