SDH divulga lista de ganhadores pela 17ª edição do Prêmio Direitos Humanos ( Noticia ) - SDH releases list of winners for the 17th edition of the Human Rights Prize (News)

A Comissão de Julgadora da 17ª Edição do Prêmio Direitos Humanos elegeu na última semana as pessoas físicas ou jurídicas agraciadas em cada uma das categorias do Prêmio. Presidida pela ministra Maria do Rosário, da Secretaria de Direitos Humanos da Presidência da República (SDH/PR), a comissão é constituída por personalidades nacionais ou indivíduos com notórios serviços prestados à causa dos Direitos Humanos no Brasil.

O Prêmio Direitos Humanos é a mais alta condecoração do Governo Brasileiro a pessoas e entidades que se destacaram na defesa, na promoção e no enfrentamento e combate às violações dos Direitos Humanos no país.

O Prêmio busca contemplar a universalidade dos Direitos Humanos em suas diversas categorias. Neste ano, foram incluídas três novas categorias: Centros de Referência em Direitos Humanos, Garantia dos Direitos da População em Situação de Rua e Diversidade Religiosa.

Os agraciados receberão um certificado assinado pela presidenta da República, Dilma Rousseff e um troféu que representa as temáticas definidas e promovidas pela SDH. A cerimônia de entrega do Prêmio será realizada no dia 9 de dezembro, às 10 horas, no Palácio do Planalto, com a presença da presidenta.

The Judging Committee of the 17th edition of the Human Rights Award last week elected the individuals or entities awarded in each category of the Award. Chaired by Minister Maria do Rosario, Human Rights Secretariat of the Presidency (SDH / PR), the commission is made up of national personalities or individuals with outstanding service to the cause of human rights in Brazil.

The Human Rights Award is the highest award from the Brazilian government to individuals and entities who stood out on defense, to promote and to confront and combat human rights violations in the country.

The Award seeks to contemplate the universality of human rights in their various categories. This year, three new categories were included: Reference Centers for Human Rights, guaranteeing the rights of the homeless population and Religious Diversity.

Recipients receive a certificate signed by the President of the Republic, Rousseff and a trophy that represents the themes defined and promoted by SDH. The Award ceremony will be held on December 9 at 10 am, at the Presidential Palace in the presence of the president.
