O 'The New York Times' publicou ontem uma extensa matéria sobre Silas Malafaia. O jornalista Simon Romero mencionou todas as polêmicas recentes em que o televangelista se envolveu, inclusive a questão de “funicar” um líder do movimento LGBT.
“Sou o inimigo número 1 do movimento gay no Brasil”, disse Malafaia em entrevista na cidade de Fortaleza. Segundo o jornal, o evento que ele realizou na cidade reuniu um público de 200 mil pessoas.
Especialista em religiões latino-americanas pela Virginia Commonwealth University, Andrew Chesnut comparou Malafaia a Pat Robertson, numa alusão infelizmente bem própria.
