Lady Gaga confirmou neste domingo ser a rainha indiscutível do pop mundial na festa dos prêmios europeus do canal MTV (EMA), realizada em Belfast, Irlanda do Norte, ao conseguir quatro dos seis prêmios aos quais era candidata.

A artista nova-iorquina voltou assim a derrotar a outra candidata a seu cetro, sua compatriota Katy Perry, que tinha quatro indicações, mas que teve que se consolar com o prêmio de 'Melhor direto'.

A noite prometia para Perry porque foi a primeira a ganhar um EMA.

E se havia alguém especialmente feliz era o diretor da MTV, Raffaele Annecchino, para quem Perry ocupa um lugar 'muito especial' em seu 'coração' desde sua atuação nos EMAs 2010, em Madri.

'Esta noite haverá uma guerra como sempre entre as duas e estou muito intrigado. Mas eu, por diferentes razões, sou fã de Kate Perry', confessou à Agência Efe o diretor antes do início do evento.

Mas como já aconteceu no ano passado na capital espanhola, no final da noite o título de grande dama da música voltou a ser de Lady Gaga.

A extravagante cantora ganhou os prêmios de 'Melhor Música' por 'Born This Way', 'Melhor Artista Feminina', 'Melhor Vídeo' e 'Maiores Fãs', uma nova categoria criada este ano.

Sua atuação deixou eufóricos as quase 20 mil pessoas que assistiram ao evento, ansiosos por ver sua sempre espetacular figura em cena.

E ela não decepcionou. Em cima de uma lua gigantesca e rodeada por uma paisagem selenita, Lady Gaga cantou 'Marry the Night' elegantemente vestida com um traje circular grená.

Outro dos grandes vencedores da noite foi o cantor Bruno Mars, que levou o prêmio de 'Melhor Artista Revelação' e o de 'Melhor Push', algo como o artista que mais avanço na carreira teve durante este ano.

Para deleite das adolescentes, Bieber também ganhou dois prêmios, o de 'Melhor Artista Pop' e 'Melhor Artista Masculino'.

O ídolo juvenil recebeu ainda o prêmio 'MTV Voices', em reconhecimento ao trabalho solidário da estrela canadense, prêmio partilhado com o Fórum da Juventude da Irlanda do Norte.

A chegada da MTV à capital da Irlanda do Norte teve também uma suave tintura política, outro reconhecimento de seu bem-sucedido processo de paz e da sua contribuição para o mundo da música.

Deste pequeno cantinho da Europa ocidental saíram artistas como Van Morrison, Stiff Little Fingers e The Undertones.

'A ideia de a MTV chegar aqui tem o objetivo de dar a este lugar uma nova visibilidade e um reconhecimento internacional através da música, que nunca teve', explicou Annecchino.

Por outro lado, o grupo de rock californiano 30 Seconds to Mars foi premiado como 'Melhor Grupo Alternativo' e 'Melhor Presença de Palco'.

Os prêmios ao 'Melhor Grupo de Rock' e 'Melhor Artista de Hip-hop' foi para dois ilustres veteranos, a banda Linkin Park e Eminem, respectivamente.

Nesta veia quase nostálgica, a MTV teve o detalhe de reconhecer com o prêmio 'Global Icon' o 'status em nível mundial' da banda do falecido Freddy Mercury, o Queen.

Diante da dúvida de se o cantor Paul Rodgers, que entre 2005 e 2009 saiu em turnê e lançou um disco com a banda, cantaria, o Queen surpreendeu a todos quando subiu ao palco do Oddyssey com Adam Lambert, do programa 'American Idol'

A mítica banda britânica, um dos pontos mais aplaudidos da noite, tocou os clássicos 'The Show Must Go On', 'We Will Rock You' e 'We Are the Champions'.

A festa começou com o grupo britânico Coldplay, que cantou 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall', o primeiro single de seu último trabalho de estúdio, 'Mylo Xyloto'.

A apresentadora do evento foi a jovem atriz e cantora americana Selena Gómez, que chamou logo depois as meninas do programa da MTV 'Jersey Shores', que declararam Perry como a primeira ganhadora da noite.

A partir daí, tudo girou em torno de Lady Gaga, amenizado por outras atuações como a do Red Hot Chili Peppers, que interpretou 'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie' de seu ultimo álbum 'I'm With You', e dos heróis locais, os norte-irlandeses Snow Patrol.
